Coach Matt Fansler, PT, DPT

I’m a Board-Certified Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and a USA Triathlon Level 1 Coach, dedicated to helping endurance athletes stay strong, healthy, and performing at their best. Growing up as a swimmer gave me a lifelong passion for sport and laid the foundation for my work today. With a movement-based approach and a sharp eye for form, I focus on injury prevention and performance optimization through individualized care.

In the clinic, I specialize in treating runners, cyclists, and swimmers, offering services such as running gait analysis (8+ years of experience), professional bike fitting, and dry needling. I believe a strong and healthy athlete is a fast athlete—and that success starts with meeting each person where they are.

Over my 18 years as a triathlete and 8 years as a coach, I’ve helped athletes of all levels reach their goals—from first-time finishers to qualifiers for Boston, 70.3 Worlds, and USAT Worlds for Olympic distance triathlon. Whether the goal is crossing the finish line or setting a personal best, I value open communication, a holistic approach, and building one-on-one relationships with every athlete and patient.

Tracy at World Championships I am a passionate endurance coach dedicated to helping athletes of all levels find joy, resilience, and balance in sport. With a focus on athlete-centered coaching, I design training that fits each person’s unique goals, lifestyle, and life context.

I believe performance and well-being go hand in hand, and foster a supportive, inclusive community where every athlete feels heard, valued, and empowered. Whether guiding a first-time triathlete to the finish line or helping a seasoned competitor reach a new PR, I bring a mix of expertise, empathy, and encouragement—always with a high five ready at the finish.
